Safety is a core value at Encana and we are continuously striving to improve our safety performance – this includes ensuring the safety of our contractors and service providers. We work closely with our contractors and service providers to identify and implement strategies to improve our safety performance.
Our health & safety policy, environment, health and safety (EH&S) management system (Ethos), risk management processes, alcohol and drug practices and Integrity Hotline are just a few of the programs used to share information and expectations in order to keep our worksites safe.
Effectively managing safety on our worksites also requires strong data management. We use ISNetworld to prequalify service providers and to manage safety data, along with other systems, to ensure that our service providers meet our expectations. As a general rule, all service providers performing field work must subscribe to ISNetworld and maintain a passing grade to be eligible to work at our sites.
