Career Development

Retirement

Our employees participate in a company-paid Defined Contribution Pension Plan (Canada) and a Money Purchase Plan (U.S.) where the company contribution is eight percent of base salary. Employees can further save for their retirement by contributing to an investment plan (Canada) or a 401(k) plan (U.S.) where we will match up to five percent of the employee’s contribution.

Our employees receive education, tools and support to help them plan for their retirement. When an eligible employee decides they are ready to retire, we provide post-retirement benefits. If you are at least 55 years of age and have two years of service (Canada) or five years of service (U.S.) with the company, you are eligible for post-retirement benefits upon retirement.

Salary

A base salary that is reviewed annually.

Employee referral programs

You may receive a cash award if you refer an external candidate to an eligible posted position and that person is hired as an employee.

Bonus & incentive programs

An annual discretionary bonus program that considers corporate and team results, and individual performance.

A long-term incentive program that aligns employee and shareholder interests through grants to eligible employees of stock options, stock appreciation rights, performance share units, restricted cash and/or restricted share units (eligibility varies based on position).

Educational assistance

We pay for relevant and approved business-related education and dues or membership fees to professional associations, with supervisory approval.

Annual allowance

An annual allowance to be used for items most meaningful to you, such as transportation, parking, fitness club memberships, financial consulting, etc.

Student award program

Student award program that provides employee’s children attending an accredited university or other post-secondary education to be eligible for up to four annual $2,500 awards.

Time-off

Industry-leading time-off programs, including three to eight weeks of vacation based on your life, not just your work, experience and the first and third Friday off each month for office-based employees.

Company-paid pension

Company-paid pension (Canada) or retirement plan contributions (U.S.) and opportunity for investment plan matching.
