Stephen Butler is a Production Engineer, working as part of the operations team at Deep Panuke. As a Production Engineer, he will assist in evaluating the reservoir, optimizing production, reviewing facility modifications and maintaining regulatory compliance at Deep Panuke.
Stephen took his knowledge to the Hebron offshore project in 2011, but has since returned to join the Deep Panuke team in his new role.
After graduating from the chemical engineering program at Dalhousie University, Stephen spent a month in Argentina and Chile hiking in the Andes but the opportunity to work on the Deep Panuke project drew him back home to Nova Scotia.
When he joined the Developing Skills Initiative, Stephen said:
"The oil and gas industry has always intrigued me. Working on Deep Panuke will help to expand my knowledge and provide a solid foundation for a career in an exciting industry."
Stephen has volunteered for Encana sponsored activities such as the 2009 Canadian Engineering Competition, our local Habitat for Humanity build team and the Medavie Blue Cross War Canoe Challenge team.
