Drumheller, Alberta (and area)

Current operations

Our operations in and around Drumheller focus primarily on coalbed methane (CBM) and shallow gas development in the Horseshoe Canyon. The low-pressure, sweet gas we develop here is located in coal found in various areas of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. As of December 31, 2011 our Clearwater Business Unit had 10,595 net producing wells. CBM has high methane content, and is the gas homeowners and businesses rely on to fuel hot water heaters, furnaces and ranges.
