Encana is committed to sharing information in order to build and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with our stakeholders. Our communities in the Montney include Dawson Creek, Farmington, Tomslake and Pouce Coupe in British Columbia and Beaverlodge, Grande Prairie, Hythe, Sexsmith and Wembley in Alberta.
Learn more about our activity in the area on the Montney operations page.
Sunset Prairie Lodge, located approximately 55 km west of Dawson Creek, British Columbia, provides temporary accommodations for our construction workforce in the area to support our long-term development plans. Learn more about Sunset Prairie Lodge.
Encana proudly sponsored the 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge held in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John October 30 to November 7, 2015. This event brought together the top players in the world born in 1999 or later. These were not your average 17-year-olds either, as in the first round of the 2015 NHL Draft, 20 of the 30 picks were players who previously played in the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
Our Community Investment program strives to promote environmental stewardship, enhance the skill sets of the next generation of industry workers and support the needs of communities where we live and operate through our three funding pillars: environment, education and community life.
As with other oil and gas activities pipeline projects require public consultation, landowner negotiation, environmental assessment, land use considerations and regulatory approval. Learn how we work with landowners and find company, provincial and federal contact information.
We operate on the basis of trust, integrity and respect, principles that are the foundation of our Courtesy Matters program.
