We have approximately 10,595 net wells on production in our coalbed methane resource play. Our CBM development is focused on the Horseshoe Canyon coal formation. The low-pressure, sweet gas we develop here is located in coal found in various areas of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. CBM has high methane content, and is the gas homeowners and businesses rely on to fuel hot water heaters, furnaces and ranges.
We have been safely and responsibly developing CBM in Alberta for more than six years. Protecting groundwater is of paramount importance to us and we’re committed to working with stakeholders to help them understand how we protect this precious natural resource.
