Courtesy Matters® , Encana’s signature program, focuses on courteous and respectful behaviour throughout all stages of our development and ongoing operations. Being a good neighbour in the communities where we live and work requires us to mitigate our impacts related to dust, noise, garbage and waste, traffic, gates and road and lease activities. This program is a shared responsibility of our staff, contractors and service providers and demonstrates our commitment to respectful and responsible operations in the communities where we operate.
Courteous Conduct is a prerequisite for operating and our efforts to minimize the daily impact our activity can have is critical to our sustainable development. Encana’s Courtesy Matters program offers staff, contractors and service providers a benchmark for courteous behaviour and reinforces Encana’s expectations for appropriate actions.
2016 marks the 10-year milestone of Encana’s Courtesy Matters program. For the past decade, Courtesy Matters has been an integral part of Encana’s business strategy. We owe much of the program’s success to our contractors and service providers who represent Encana in the field and work alongside our staff to build strong working relationships in the communities we’re fortunate to operate in.
