Encana, GO3 Foundation help build global ozone database

With the help of an Encana grant, the GO3 Project has enabled more than 60 schools - in Colorado, Wyoming and international sister school locations - to participate in a ground-level ozone monitoring and information sharing program.

Using state-of-the-art technology, students monitor ground-level ozone concentrations and weather conditions outside their schools, upload the data to Google Earth, and share and discuss regional and global impacts with other GO3 students through the GO3 Social Network.

Through the project, students in Colorado and Wyoming select an international sister school with which to exchange data. By linking U.S. schools with schools around the world, the GO3 Project encourages international solutions to ground-level ozone and fosters global collaboration - creating the world's first global database of ground-level ozone measurements.
