EnCana invests a small portion of its capital in exploration opportunities beyond its core geographic areas, primarily in Atlantic Canada. In 2008, EnCana's core capital investment for the Offshore and International Division is projected to be approximately $56 million, which includes the drilling of approximately one net well and the commencement of the major contracting activities related to the development of the Deep Panuke natural gas project.
