Doug Suttles speaks at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce

(May 19, 2015) Encana joined the unified oil industry call on the United States government to lift its 40-year-old ban on crude oil exports as Encana’s President and CEO Doug Suttles focused his recent speech to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on ending what he called an “arcane and outdated” policy.

In his speech he noted that “in lifting outdated laws that prevent crude exports, we will create jobs and wealth all across our country in numerous industries, increase local, state and federal tax and royalty revenues and put money into the pockets of everyday Americans.”

A competitive and successful oil and gas industry is fundamental to the quality of life we all enjoy. We need to have the right policies in place so we all can benefit from the potential of our energy resources.”
